YEAR 5 CAMP - Friday, DAY 3

15th July 2016
Friday, 15th July
The final day of camp has been a very busy and tiring one with so many wonderful experiences on the water. The children were asked to choose two activities out of  three - coasteering, sailing and canoeing/kayaking. The children were busy all day on the beautiful calm waters down at Porthpean beach -  the perfect weather for water sports. After the coasteering group had jumped from a number of high level rocks and picked their way through numerous boulders, they were ready to be transported back to the main beach via the speed boat. A morning of sailing and canoeing also left the children ready for their lunch which disappeared very quickly followed by a large quantity of yummy homemade cakes - thank you!
During the afternoon the children swopped activities and ended the day with the long walk back up the hill to the camp. Tired and ready for their own beds, the children were glad to see their parents arrive with open arms ready to take them home. Only a few items of lost property remaining at the end of a wonderfully busy week of fabulous experiences. What a great group of children to spend time with. You were a pleasure to take on camp Year 5. Thank you for being such great company.
