Our School Governor Shares Something Special with Our Robins

27th January 2015
This week, as part of their RE focus on Hinduism, our Robins were treated to a very special visit from Mrs Aliya Aslam, one of our parents and school governors. Aliya shared her own personal experiences of the Hindu religion and showed the children how to make chapatis. The children were also given the opportunity to smell a range of traditional Indian spices, enjoy tasting freshly made vegetable bhajis and learning some traditional Indian dance moves! We very much appreciate the support we have from Aliya as a parent and in her role as school governor. A wonderful afternoon was had by all. The children's undertsanding of the Indian culture was clearly embedded through their hands on experience.
