Stithians Show

On Monday 11th July, Years 3 and 4 went to the Stithians Show. The children were lucky enough to spend the whole day walking around one of the largest agricultural shows in the country, exploring livestock ranging from cage birds, through dogs and dog agility, to cattle, sheep, goats pigs and horses. There was a substantial Horticultural marquee as well as the Arts, Crafts and Cookery section. The Taste of Cornwall Marquee was incredibly busy so only a small number of children were able to try different foods.

All of the children were immaculately behaved and were great ambassadors for the school. Even though the weather was far from perfect, the children constantly had a smile on their faces and were excited to see and learn as much as possible!

Thank you to every member of staff and parent that helped make the trip a success! A special thank you must be made to Mr Tim Brown (Starlings) who organised the trip as well as follow up activities where the children carried out several food investigations related to the show.
