WHY BE ON TIME?
It is vital that all pupils arrive at school on time to ensure they are ready for the start of the school day and are settled to learn. Our mornings begin with an electronic registration from 9am. Lessons begin immediately following registration.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF PARENTS
It is the parents' responsibility to ensure their child arrives at school on time and is picked up promptly at the end of the school day. Parents must contact the school office on 01872863004 if, on the rare occassion, they are not able to get to school on time due to unforeseen circumstances. Please also inform the school if you need to change arrangements for who will be picking up your child at the end of the school day so that staff are aware of these changes when they are handing over children.
START OF THE SCHOOL DAY
Children may arrive at school from 8.45am. All pupils need to enter through their classroom door which will be unlocked by the class teacher at 8.45am and locked promptly at 9am. If a child arrives after 9am, they must report to the office where the parent will need to fill in a late arrival form giving reasons for their child's late attendance.
END OF THE SCHOOL DAY
In an attempt to help reduce congestion, we have a staggered end to the school day. Early Years and Key Stage 1 finish at 3pm and Key Stage 2 finish at 3.15pm. To ensure all pupils are handed over to their parents safely at the end of the school day, we ask parents to wait outside the school fence adjacent to the main playground. Staff bring their classes to the RED LINE(marked on the playground) where they can clearly see parents waiting for their children before handing over.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
If your child has been signed up for an after school club, their name will be on a register held by the member of staff running the club. Parents are asked to remain just outside the main entrance or in the school foyer outside the main office when waiting to pick up their child from a club. Please inform the school if, for some reason, your child will not be able to attend their ususal club one evening, so that our staff know not to expect your child at that particular session.
