Our vision is to provide a firm foundation for each and every child to enable them to reach their full potential and have a thirst for life-long learning.
Hello and welcome to our website and thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about our lovely community school.
Perran-ar-Worthal CP School is set in a beautiful location overlooking open countryside in the village of Perranwell, located between Truro and Falmouth. The school was originally built in 1878. In 2007, it was completely refurbished and extended. We now enjoy the benefits of amazing facilities and extensive grounds.
We are very proud of the school’s reputation. Children are taught to value themselves and others. They achieve high standards through their hard work and the support of a dedicated team, who are committed to identifying and meeting their needs. Our aim is to encourage children to appreciate that education involves not only working hard to achieve their goals, but also integrating into and contributing towards the life and family atmosphere of the school and community. We try to help them achieve this through an innovative, creative curriculum and many extra-curricular events.
Our school is a warm and welcoming place as we are all committed to ensuring that parents and school work together to provide the best possible future for our children. We firmly believe it takes a whole community to educate a child.
The aims of our school
Challenge each child so that each achieves his or her own potential in a secure, happy and friendly atmosphere
Deliver a stimulating curriculum that addresses children’s needs both for the present and the future
Encourage children’s development through a wide variety of experiences, and generate an awareness and sense of wonder in their immediate environment and the world outside
Develop their moral values and attitudes so that they learn to live and grow together in harmony
Encourage understanding and cooperation between parents, the school and the community
