STARLINGS - YEAR 3

So, who am I?

I'm Mr Tilley and I am excited to be your Year 3 class teacher!
A little bit about me: outside of school, I spend most of my time with my family. I’ve got three boys and we’re usually off exploring the beach or the woods. My hobbies include watching all the sports I can while also trying (poorly) to play golf myself. I grew up here in Cornwall and have been teaching for over 10 years in the local area. More recently I have spent two years at a newly opened special school supporting children with high anxiety. I’m a big believer in taking opportunities, which is what brought me to Perran-Ar-Worthal!
In our classroom, we will focus on helping everyone feel they belong, building confidence and supporting each other to do our best. Whether you love maths, enjoy being creative, or getting excited by travelling though time in history, my aim is to help you experience as much success as possible.

So, who am I?

I am in class with you on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday where I am on hand to help you all with your learning. I also teach 'Little Wandle' groups and am the KS2 science TA in the afternoons. When I'm not in school, I am kept very busy with my lovely family. We love to spend time together outdoors either at the beach or on a walk. My weekends are spent mostly watching and supporting my boys play football.

So, who am I?

In school, you'll usually find me bringing stories to life through drama or helping children to discover the magic of reading and storytelling. Outside the classroom, I like learning about counselling and wellbeing and helping people to feel happier. I love to jump in the sea whenever I can or head out on long walks with my dog. Most of all I love spending time with my family and I'm always up for the next adventure travelling to new places together.

So who am I?

During the week you'll find me in Starlings most of the time and, if not, then I'll be out assisting or teaching PE to the children in KS2. PE is my background and I am passionate about all things teaching and education.
When I'm not in school you'll find me either playing football or working out in the gym. It takes up alot of my life, but is definately worth it and feels so rewarding. Keeping fit is essential!
To relax I love spending time with my family and girlfriend watching television or chilling our watching football (again).

Welcome to our class page!
