Our Maths Governor Comes to Visit

1st December 2014
Mrs Philippa Laval, our maths governor, spent a morning in school today talking to children about maths and watching pupils enjoy a range of mathematical activities from creating their own number sentences in Puffins to groups of Kingfishers working out costings for creating and running futuristic funparks. Philippa's morning ended with a rather unplanned team effort to erect the school Christmas tree! A problem solving exercise that involved a 'number' of carefully selected sticks, tennis balls and skipping ropes - never a straight forward job!  Many thanks to Philippa for her continued support in her role as governor.
